1. Who we are

This policy explains how JDSD Tax Consultant LLC (“JDSD”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you contact us, use our website www.cajdsd.com, respond to our advertisements on Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp, or engage us for services.

JDSD Tax Consultant LLC is a company licensed in the United Arab Emirates, with its office in Business Bay, Dubai. We provide tax, VAT, Corporate Tax, accounting, bookkeeping, company formation and related advisory services to businesses.

We handle personal information in line with applicable UAE data protection law, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and provide our services.

  • Contact details: your name, phone number, WhatsApp number and email address.
  • Business details: company name, trade licence type (mainland or free zone), VAT registration status, approximate number of invoices per month, and similar information about your business.
  • Enquiry details: the service you are interested in and any messages you send us.
  • Engagement documents: if you become a client, the documents and records needed to deliver the service, such as trade licences, financial records, invoices and tax registrations.

How we receive it

  • Meta lead forms (Instant Forms): when you submit a form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta shares the answers you give with us.
  • WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram messages: when you message us, we receive your profile name, number and the content of your messages.
  • Our website, email and phone calls: when you contact us directly.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, Emirates ID, passport, bank card or other sensitive personal details through ads or forms. We request these only after you engage us, and only where a service requires them.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  1. Respond to your enquiry and contact you by phone, WhatsApp or email about the service you asked about.
  2. Prepare a quote and check whether a package suits your business.
  3. Deliver services you engage us for, including bookkeeping, VAT and Corporate Tax filings with the UAE Federal Tax Authority.
  4. Meet our legal, regulatory and professional obligations, including record-keeping and anti-money-laundering checks where they apply.
  5. Send occasional updates about our services. You can opt out at any time by replying “STOP” or emailing us.

We process your information because you asked us to contact you, because it is needed to perform our engagement with you, because the law requires it, or with your consent. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Sharing, storage and security

Who we share with. We share your information only where needed:

  • with our own team and our associated firm JDSD & Co., Chartered Accountants (India), when they work on your engagement;
  • with government authorities, free zone authorities and banks, when a service you engaged us for requires it (for example, an FTA filing or a bank account application);
  • with service providers that support our work, such as cloud email and accounting software providers, under confidentiality obligations;
  • where the law, a court or a regulator requires it.

Transfers outside the UAE. Some of our team and service providers are located outside the UAE, including in India. Where your information is transferred, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected to the standard required by UAE law.

How long we keep it. Enquiry information that does not lead to an engagement is kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. Client records are kept for as long as the engagement lasts and for the period UAE tax and commercial law requires (generally at least 5 years, and longer where a specific law requires it).

Security. We use access controls, password-protected systems and confidentiality obligations on staff to protect your information. No system is completely secure, but we act promptly if a breach occurs.

5. Your rights and how to contact us

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your information, where we are not legally required to keep it;
  • stop using your information for marketing;
  • restrict or object to certain uses of your information.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the relevant UAE data protection authority.
